In the summer of 1999 our first appointments were for the M3 Navan to Dunshaughlin and the N52 Mullingar to Belvedere schemes. A year later, we consolidated our partnership and formed an incorporated company, Halcrow Barry Limited, in August 2000.

We have over the last 18 years developed organically a large team of well qualified, very experienced and competent Engineers and Project Managers, located regionally in our offices in Castlebar, Dublin and Cork.

From the 1st of March 2018 the company formerly known as Halcrow Barry and latterly CH2M Barry is now Barry Transportation. Our teams working with you on current schemes will remain the same, we are committed to maintaining the excellent level of service on all existing projects and look forward to applying our capacity developed over the past two decades to the challenging future development of the country’s infrastructure.

Barry Transportation have been members of the TII Road Safety Inspections Framework since 2012, undertaking Road Safety inspections and Road Safety Inspection Reviews to AM-STY-06044 (HD17/14). Over the last 5 years, we have inspected over 1000km of the National Primary and Secondary Road Network comprising the

The primary objective of the Road Safety Inspections are to carry out periodical verification of the characteristics and defects of and road and identify issues relating to road safety along with proposed remediation measures. The inspections have included the mainline and side roads approaching the mainline. Inspections are carried out during daytime and night-time conditions and recorded with GPS enabled camera to help pin point particular issues for resolution. These videos are then uploaded to the UbiPix © software and tags created of the issues observed. .
